Multiple Properties Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the County of Kern (HACK) last accepted Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Multiple Properties from May 1, 2024 until May 30, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: Applicants were to apply for each location individually during the time frame that the waiting list was open.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Someone who is involuntarily displaced due to; natural disaster, governmental action, avoiding reprisals and/or victims of hate crimes.
• Veterans and/or servicemen
• Homeless individuals and families
• Local residents of Kern County are given preference over applicants from other communities.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
