Pelican Harbor Apartments, 1-Bedroom Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) is accepting Senior Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications on a limited basis for 1-Bedroom apartments at Pelican Harbor from April 29, 2024, until 33 applications are received.

Please note: According to the OCHA public notice, this waiting list is for "twenty-one (21) units will be given to applicants aged 62 and older, who are experiencing homelessness, eligible for services under the Special Needs Housing Program, No Place Like Home, and referred by the Orange County Coordinated Entry System (CES) to OCHA.  Admission preference for the remaining twelve (12) units will be given to applicants aged 62 and older and are experiencing homelessness."

To apply while the waitlist is open, call 2-1-1 Orange County at (888) 600-4357, ask to be connected to CES access point.

Please note: "2-1-1 staff will provide you the contact information for the provider most appropriate to your circumstances in your service area. You may need to leave a message for a call back for an assessment appointment."

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• 62+ and older
• Experiencing homelessness
• Currently on the OCHA's Housing Choice Voucher waiting list.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list, by order of preferences.
