About

The Housing Authority of the City of Marion (HACM) is accepting Public Housing waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed open date of March, 2019, until further notice. Waiting lists for specific communities or bedroom sizes may be closed.

There are two ways to apply while the waitlist is open:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Pick up an application at the HACM office, located at 501 North Market Street Marion, IL 62959, from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm CT.

Once the application has been completed, it must either:

  1. Hand delivered to the HACM office, address mentioned above.
  2. Emailed to [email protected], along with the following information:
  • Verification of all income from all sources (if working please include 3 current paystubs)
  • Birth certificates and Social Security cards for all individuals planning to live in the unit
  • A photo ID of all members over 18 years of age
  • If married or divorced, copy of marriage license or Judgment of Dissolution
  • Names and complete addresses of current and/or previous landlord(s)
  • If a family member is pregnant, a statement from the physician
  • Verification of any preference(s) to which you believe you are entitled

This waiting list has the following preferences: Displaced by natural disaster, displaced by government action, living in substandard housing, rent burdened, working, live or work in Marion.
