The Housing Authority of the Town of Lake Arthur (HATLA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HATLA offers one Public Housing community with 49 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HATLA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1406 1st St., Lake Arthur, LA 70549, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, proof of all income, photo IDs for all adult household members, and if claiming a preference, you must bring documentation.The HATLA does have a preference for: Victims of domestic violence, disabled individuals, or homeless.For more information, call the HATLA office at (337) 774-3692 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
