Whitfield Homes, Forrest Road Homes and EB Jordan Homes Apartments Public Housing Waiting List

The Wilson Housing Authority (WHA) last accepted accepted Public Housing waiting list applications at Whitfield Homes, Forrest Road Homes and EB Jordan Homes Apartments from August 6, 2024, until August 22, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

This waiting list was for the following properties:

• Whitfield Homes - located at 722 Hooks St S, Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• Forrest Road Homes - located at 2712 Forest Hills Road South West, Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• EB Jordan Homes - located at 213 Broad St W, Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Veteran/Homeless
• Working Family
  • Defined as being self-employed, working an average of 20 hours or more a week for at least 11 months, or being seasonally employed for 2 years with the current employer and working 20 hours a week or more). Includes persons 62 years or older.
• Homeless Families with Case Management Support.
• Homeless Victims of Domestic Violence.

Selection Process

Applicants were placed on the waiting list based on preferences and date the application was received.

Application Method

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Print the paper application that will be available on the WHA website.
2. Pick up an application Monday-Thursday, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm ET, at one of the following locations:

• WHA Admin office- 301 E. Nash St.,  Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• Forrest Road Homes office- 502 Parkview St., Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• Whitfield Homes office -633 E. Walnut St.,  Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• E.B. Jordan Homes office - 1800-H Fountain Dr.,  Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.

Once the paper application was completed, it must have either been:

1.  Dropped off at one at one of the following locations on Tuesday or Thursday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm:

• WHA Admin office- 301 E. Nash St.,  Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• Forrest Road Homes-502 Parkview St., Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• Whitfield Homes-633 E. Walnut St.,  Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.
• E.B. Jordan Homes- 1800-H Fountain Dr.,  Wilson County, North Carolina, 27893.

       2.  Mailed to, any of the office addresses mentioned above.
