Athens Metropolitan Housing Authority Public Housing Waiting List

The Athens Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The AMHA offers one family public housing community with 44 units ranging in size from 2 to 5 bedrooms, one community for elderly/disabled individuals, and 27 single family homes scattered throughout Athens, ranging in size from 3 to 4 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:1. Visit the AMHA office to pick up an application, located at 10 Hope Dr., Athens, OH 45701 during normal office hours.2. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 740-592-4481.3. Download an application here, then print and complete.Once the application has been completed it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.The AMHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: veteran, employed, live and/or work in Athens, rent burden, displaced by natural disaster, victim of a hate crime, victim of domestic violence, substandard living conditions, displaced by government action.More information can be found by visiting the AMHA website at http://www.athensmha.org/, or by calling 740-592-4481 during normal office hours.
