The Pottsville Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers six communities ranging in size from studios to 5 bedrooms, for families and senior/disabled individuals.To apply for public housing, you must call the housing authority to make an appointment at 570-628-2702 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: involuntarily displaced by government action or by fire, or a natural disaster, city worker, enrolled in job or educational training program, elderly, disabled, veteran, victim of domestic violence, or victim of a hate crime.More information can be found by visiting the housing authority website at http://www.pottsvillehousing.net/, or by calling 570-628-2702, during normal office hours.
