Family Public Housing Waiting List

The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) is accepting Family Public Housing waiting list applications at Calvert Square, Oakleaf Forrest and Young Terrace Apartments from July 15, 2024 at 12:00 am, until further notice.

Preferences

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Residents of Norfolk
  • Includes families employed in Norfolk, seniors, and those with disabilities. 20 points
• Working
  • Includes head of household or spouse or sole member who is age 62 or older or is a person with disabilities or where the head of the household is the primary caregiver for a household member with a disability. Minimum 15 work hours per week for non-elderly and applicants without disabilities. 10 points
• Veterans
  • 5 points

Selection Process

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list, weighed by order of preferences.
