The Housing Authority of Benwood and McMechen (HABM) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The HABM offers one Public Housing community with 177 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.To apply, visit the HABM to pick up an application, located at 2200 Marshall Street S, Benwood, WV 26031, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. No documents are needed at this time.The HABM does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: working, local resident, disabled, or veteran.For more information, the HABM can be reached by calling 304-233-0830 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
