Housing Authority of the City of South Charleston Public Housing Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of South Charleston (HACSC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The HACSC offers one Public Housing community with 121 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.To apply, download the application here, then print and complete.Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to 520 Goshorn Street, South Charleston, WV 25309, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, Social Security cards, photo IDs for all adult household members, checking and/or savings account information, real estate (if applicable), proof of all income, child support statements (if applicable), SSI benefit letter (if applicable), student documentation (if applicable), displaced by government action documentation (if applicable), disabled documentation (if applicable).The HACSC does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: live and/or work in South Charleston, displaced by natural disaster, displaced by government action, victim of domestic violence, displaced by a hate crime, displaced to avoid reprisal, displaced due to owner, living in substandard housing, homeless, or rent burden.More information can be found by visiting the HACSC website at http://www.southcharlestonhousing.org/, or by calling 304-768-9315, during normal office hours.
