City of Tampa and Hillsborough County, Florida Mainstream Voucher Waiting List

The Tampa Housing Authority (THA) last accepted Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 4, 2024, until March 29, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the THA " The mainstream rental assistance waitlist is open ONLY to applicants that are considered nonelderly (age 18-61) and who have a disability."

To apply while the waiting list was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Transitioning out of institutional or other separated settings
• At risk of institutionalization
• Homeless or risk of being homeless

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
