Waukegan, Illinois Mainstream Voucher Waiting List

The Waukegan Housing Authority (WHA) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from September 10, 2019, until January 15, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the WHA, "In order to qualify for the MVP program, your household MUST include a non-elderly (age 18 - 61) person with a disability who is:

• Transitioning out of institutional or other segregated setting, or
• At serious risk of institutionalization, or
• Homeless, or
• At risk of becoming homeless."

To apply during the opening time, applicants were required to complete the online application. 

According to the WHA, "Applicants are reminded that no applications will be accepted at any of the Waukegan Housing Authority offices."

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.
