The Jo Daviess County Housing Authority (JDCHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 15, 2024, until May 29, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Jo Daviess County resident
• Veteran
• Victim of Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2002
• Current Nursing Home resident who has resided in a state-licensed nursing home for the past 90 days
• Head of household or spouse currently working a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Head of household or spouse is 62 years old or older
• Head of household or spouse currently meet the HUD/Social Security definition of disabled

Selection Process

350 selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

Application Method

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.
