DeKalb County, Illinois Limited Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the County of DeKalb (HACD) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed open date of April 19, 2024, until further notice. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the HACD, it, "is ONLY accepting applications from applicants that are ELDERLY or DISABLED for its Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists."

This waiting list had the following preferences: Families with children, working, live or work in DeKalb County, IL, rent burdened, continuum of care. Further explanation of each preference can be found here.

Applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences. 

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.
