North Chicago, Illinois Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of North Chicago (HACNC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The HACNC last accepted applications for this waiting list from September 16, 2022, until 400 applications were received. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limit for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $36,500 | 5 Persons $56,300
• 2 Persons $41,700 | 6 Persons $60,450
• 3 Persons $46,900 | 7 Persons $64,650
• 4 Persons $52,100 | 8 Persons $68,800

There were preferences, and they were listed on the application.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
