McHenry County, Illinois Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The McHenry Housing Authority (MHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 5, 2024, until June 12, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

• 1 Person $39,250 | 5 Persons $60,550
• 2 Persons $44,850 | 6 Persons $65,050
• 3 Persons $50,450 | 7 Person $69,550
• 4 Persons $56,050 | 8 Person $74,000

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live or work in McHenry County.

Selection Process

5,000 selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

Application Method

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.
