Boone County Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Boone County Housing Authority in Belvidere, Illionois opened its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list from May 3, 2017 to May 8, 2017. The waiting list opening was a random lottery. It is not known when the Section 8 waiting list will open again. When it does open, it is expected the online application may be here at the application portal from 2017.

This opening had several preferences including:

• Families whose Section 8 voucher was terminated due to a lack of funding
• Families who live or work in Boone County, Illinois
• Veterans or surviving spouses
• Working families
• Victims of natural disasters
• Families referred by Department of Children & Family Services
• Children aging out of foster care
• Nursing home residents who can live independently
