Leavenworth County, Kansas Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Leavenworth Housing Authority (LHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were being accepted from March 11, 2020 at 8:00 am CT, until December 12, 2024 at 4PM. This waiting list was open indefinitely for over 4 years. The 2024 closure suggests the number of applicants on the waiting list now will take more than 2 years to process through.

To apply during the opening period, applicants had to pick up an application from the LHA, located at 200 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048; Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Once the application was completed, it had to be returned in person to the LHA, address mentioned above, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

This waiting list has the following preferences: elderly, disabled, heads of household who are working full time or full time students.
