Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority (TMHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed. It last opened on October 22, 2024 from 8AM to 4PM. It is not known when the waiting list was last open prior to that.

Preferences

Preferences will be given to:

• Elderly or disabled: Households where the head, spouse, or sole member is elderly or has a disability.
• Veteran or Veteran family: Households where the head, spouse, or sole member is a veteran or part of a veteran family.
• Victim of a federal disaster: Households affected by a federally declared disaster.
• Children having an elevated lead blood level: Households with children diagnosed with elevated blood lead levels.
• Homeless transitioning from shelter: Individuals or families transitioning from a homeless shelter.

Selection Process

The selection process has not been elaborated on yet. It is likely that all eligible applicants who apply during the open period will be placed on the waiting list and ranked based on their preferences. Applicants can have more than one preference, which can boost their score and placement on the waiting list.

Application Method

To apply during the opening period, complete the application on paper, in person by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 330-369-6460. At your appointment, you will need to bring birth certificates and social security cards for all household members, any income verification, medical expenses paid out of pocket if you are a disabled individual, and photo identification for all persons over the age of 18. Everyone over the age of 18 must accompany you to the appointment.
