Housing Authority of Yamhill County Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of Yamhill County (HAYC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open on January 31, 2025. The HCV waiting list last opened in September 2014 and remained open for more than 10 years.

In a news report, the housing authority indicated it was closing the Section 8 waiting list after 10 years because "current expected wait times are over five years". The housing authority estimates the waiting list will be closed for several years until they process through all the applicants currently on the waiting list.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.

Persons on the waiting list will be notified by mail when their name reaches the top of the waiting list.

Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list.
