Santa Ana, California Veteran Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Santa Ana Housing Authority (SAHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from July 1, 2015, until an unconfirmed closed date. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the SAHA, this waiting list is "only for U.S. Military Veterans who live or work in the City of Santa Ana. A DD-214 Form is required."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application. Note: As of April, 2022, the SAHA website says, "If you are a U.S. Military Veteran who lives or works in Santa Ana, please go to our On-line Application to Submit an Application." However, the SAHA online application states "There are no open waiting lists at this time."

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live or work in the City of Santa Ana, United States Veterans who have served for at least 90 days and been discharged by any definition but dishonorable (proof of DD214 required).

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
