Lancaster, South Carolina Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of Lancaster (HAL) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on March 13, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Print the paper application that was available on the HAL website.
2. Pick up an application from the HAL office.

Once the application was completed, it was to be: Returned to the HAL office.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Lancaster County Elderly and Disabled Persons/Family ( 4 Points)
• Lancaster County Families (3 Points)
• Lancaster County Single Members (2 Points)
• Non-Lancaster County Persons (1 Point)

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
