South Gate, California Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The South Gate Housing Authority (SGHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 27, 2024, until June 10, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

• 1 Person $29,150 | 5 Persons $44,950
• 2 Persons $33,300 | 6 Persons $48,300
• 3 Persons $37,450 | 7 Person $51,600
• 4 Persons $41,600 | 8 Persons $54,950

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Veterans
• Live or work in South Gate, CA
• Elderly
• Disabled
• Displaced 

Selection Process

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list, by order of preferences.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were require to complete the online application.
