Bristol, Tennessee Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

Bristol Housing (BH) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from January 10, 2024 at 8:00 am CT, until further notice.

To apply while the waitlist is open, complete the online application that will be available on the BH website.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Families that have been terminated from HCV program due to insufficient program funding.
• Families that include victims of domestic violence.
• Homeless Veterans through VASH vouchers issued at the direction of the Veterans Administration. 
• Families displacement by government action or natural disaster.
• Bristol Housing public housing residents who have been residents in good standing in a Bristol Public Housing unit for at least one year and who have completed the homeownership pre-purchase counseling required by Bristol Housing’s Section 8 HCV Homeownership program.
• Families who are housed and wish to remain in their current unit with the housing assistance from the PHA.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
