Amarillo, Texas Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The City of Amarillo Community Development Department (CACDD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The CACDD last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from January 24, 2022, until February 7, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Residency within the Amarillo city limits
• Homelessness
• Families with children under the age of 18

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
