Orange, Texas Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of Orange Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

 The HACO last accepted applications for this waiting list for one day on April 1, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Working or has a bona fide offer for employment, Elderly or Disabled (50 points)
• Public Housing residents displaced as a result of demolition and/or disposition (50 Points)

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.

The waiting list closed about an hour after opening, once 500 applications were received.
