Virginia Beach, Virginia Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Virginia Beach Housing and Neighborhood Preservation (VBHNP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

VBHNP last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list for one day only on November 9, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Displacement (725 points)
• Victims of Domestic Violence (480 points)
• Insufficient Funding (240 points)
• Homeless (100 points)
• Elderly (62 or older) and/or Disability (70 points)
• Residency (50 points)
• Veteran (30 points)
• Families with Children (25 points)
• Working (20 points)

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
