James City County Office of Housing Mainstream Voucher Waiting List

The James City County Office of Housing Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted for one day only from October 29, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the James City County Office of Housing, "Only households including a member meeting the requirements of non-elderly (defined as at least 18 years old and not yet 62), with disabilities, living/working in James City County, transitioning out of institutional or other segregated settings and currently a participant in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing project will be selected."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Current residents of James City County.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
