Janesville, Wisconsin Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Janesville Housing Authority (JHA) Section 8-Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open from September 25, 2024 until October 25, 2024. Before that, it was last open in 2022 and before that in 2018.

Applications were submitted online and will be available on the Housing Authority website.

According to the housing authority's Administrative Plan, the waiting list has the following preferences:

• Displaced by Government Action
• Displaced by Rental Rehab
• Homeless
• Live or Work within the City of Janesville.

Applicants seeking the preference must demonstrate proof of local residency and/or employment. This could include: a driver’s license, State or Federal ID card, lease, utility bill, social security statement or check stub.

This waiting list opening is a random lottery. Applicants will be selected at random from all applications received to be placed on the waiting list. It is not known how many applicants the housing authority plans to place on the waiting list.
