Hartford, Connecticut Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of Hartford (HACH) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 23, 2024, until April 26, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

• 1 Person $42,650 | 5 Persons $65,800
• 2 Persons $48,750 | 6 Persons $70,650
• 3 Persons $54,850 | 7 Person $75,550
• 4 Persons $60,900 | 8 Persons $80,400

Preferences have not been confirmed.

3,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Print the paper application.

Once the paper application was completed, it was to be either: 

1. Mailed to the HACH office.
2. Hand delivered to the HACH office drop box.
