To my prospective student who carries a gift and passion for acting! My name is Jacléne, but I also go by Jax. I am a professional working actor and have recently decided to unlock my knowledge and excitement to educate actors ages 7 and up.
I have been an actor nearly all my life, beginning at the young age of five. I began by acting in community theater, and continued in middle school through high school by performing in every play and musical. My passion then led me to pursue acting as a full time career; I
went on to study musical theater at Oakland University where I graduated with a BFA.
Shortly after graduation I moved to NYC to gain more opportunities, enhance my career and broaden my acting experiences. While living in NYC, I starred in numerous commercials(Chase Bank, Dave and Busters, Rent The Runway, Volkswagen), Independent films (Olivia in Black Ice, & Liberty Smith in Liberty’s Secret) plays (Little Women, A Street Car Named Desire) and studied with the best acting teacher in the city-Anthony Abeson who is known for coaching Jennifer Anniston. I also studied improv at the PIT, and worked with numerous casting directors at ONE on ONE, The Green Room, and Actor's Connection. I currently have two exceptional agents, and have made lasting connections with actors, agents, and casting directors in NYC, MI, PA, and Chicago.
The experience I’ve had with countless auditions and callbacks for TV, film, musicals, plays and commercials has given me insight into casting, and what it takes to actually get in the room, be memorable and book!
I specifically want to work with young actors because I WISH I had the professional help and coaching from someone like me at a young age to improve my skill set and prepare me for a career in theater and film. I truly want to give young actors the confidence to nail their audition! Most importantly, my coaching will prepare my students to be the best actors they possibly can be by learning how to understand the text of their sides or script, know their character deeply, know the situation, moment before, objective, all of which will be the building blocks to use for a lifetime to acting!

My teacher Anthony Abeson would always quote the famous Stanislavski, “there isn't a recipe to acting- it’s whatever works!” I strongly stand by this. No child, or teenager is the same. Everyone works differently and learns differently. There isn’t a one size fits all method like many acting studios teach. I don’t want any of my actors to be the same as the next actor who walks into an audition. I promise to work with the actor and incorporate their unique qualities and personality to grow and achieve their own skill set. Come ACT with JAX!
