Welcome to my gallery of custom oil paintings! I collaborate with people to commemorate special memories and loved ones by creating high quality works of fine art inspired by their favorite images. Provide me a picture (portrait, pet, landmark event, celebrity, movie scene, boudoir), and I’ll apply my unique style and oil paint it on canvas as a meaningful keepsake that will be treasured for generations to come.
My work explores the interplay of shadows to create form. By nature, I love to simplify complex information, and that is reflected in my paintings. By limiting the number of achromatic tones used (typically between 4 to 7 shades of grey plus white and black), I try to summarize an image in a concise way. This makes my paintings look highly abstract up close but realistic at a viewing distance. While I primarily paint in black and white, I will add limited color If the subject matter or clients calls for it.
