About

I began teaching cello over 30 years ago when I gave my little cousin lessons in exchange for my uncle giving me rides to youth orchestra rehearsals. Even as I forged a performing career (joining the Louisiana Philharmonic 22 years ago and performing solo and chamber music concerts frequently), I never stopped teaching. I’ve learned so much over the years about how to help students achieve their goals. My students are always up to good things. I hold Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral degrees In music performance, and I have the rare skill of being comfortable and highly effective teaching students at all levels from beginning to extremely advanced. I teach out of my beautiful home in New Orleans, and at this time I have discontinued online lessons as my New Orleans studio is very full. I do not offer lessons in other instruments, only cello.
