?ABOUT ME
I am a professional cellist from Spain. I graduated from the Higher Conservatory of Salamanca, Spain. After that, I moved to Chicago to study with cellists of the Chicago Symphony at the Chicago College of Performing Arts in Roosevelt University. I earned a Diploma in cello Performance and a Diploma in Orchestra Studies.
What I like the most is to share the love and passion of music, no matter your age. I think is important to set goals for each student and pursue them in a successful and personalized way.
I have experience teaching in the USA and overseas as well as performing with Symphonic Orchestras.
I have prepared students for College auditions, recitals, ABRSM tests, music theory tests and orchestra auditions. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach Cello Technique Class to University level students and orchestra seccionals.
Performing wise, I have been regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and performed with professional Orchestras such as Castilla y Leon Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Orchestra Iowa, Opera Festival of Chicago, San Antonio Ballet, Opera San Antonio, among others ensembles.
I truly believe anyone can learn and enjoy playing cello no matter the age or the starting point!
