Education:
I am the president and founder of both American Cultural Immersion LLC and Global Immersion Inc. I enjoy teaching ESL/ELL and helping those that struggle with ADD/ADHD.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from George Washington University and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. A Master's degree from John Hopkins University in Clinical Community Counseling, graduated with a 4.0 GPA . I am also certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Georgetown University. Furthermore, I have taught K-12 so I am well versed in many different subjects.
Experience/Qualifications:
I consider myself a qualified expert in teaching English as a Second Language, Accent Reduction, Business English, Writing, Cultural Immersion and Career Coaching for High School, College and adults. I have also coached many individuals over the years who struggled with organization, executive function and ADD/ADHD. I have helped these students organize themselves and execute their study plans and schedules so they are able to pass their classes with amazing grades.
I have been hired in the past by many great organizations to improve confidence in the workplace. Some of these clients included Social Security Administration, Food, and Drug Administration, T-mobile, and most recent clients from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and Pratt & Whitney, Hartford Health Care, HUGE, Bank of America and Travelers.
I have truly appreciated and learned from every company, child, teenager, adult and family that I have worked with over the years; I cannot imagine having any other job or not making a significant difference in someone's life. I have attended numerous workshops, learned many stress-management techniques such as yoga, meditation, relaxation, and self-exploration, which I have found to be profoundly helpful as a way to better the students' concentration in and out of the classroom as well as decrease stress and anxiety.
My hope is that I can help my students learn how to better utilize their own problem-solving skills, tools, and techniques learned. My teaching style is tailored towards the individuals learning style and capabilities.
Hobbies/Interests:
Outgoing, organized and great at organizing others, highly motivated and accomplished. I am interested in reading, building websites, conversating with individuals, writing, traveling and learning about new cultures and staying active. I like to be involved in running and organizing groups. I love education, staying involved in whats going on around the world and learning new things.
