Hi! I’m Yeni. I grew up watching my mother turn quite literally other people’s trash into treasures. From installing Air Conditioners herself, to assembling furniture (she has 3 daughters including myself). All while being a house wife with unfortunately lots of health issues that arose over time.
Throughout those years I learned to be innovative as well as take up after my mother’s steps. Not to mention, her father (my grandfather-may he rest in peace was an architect and a carpenter) and my uncles from her side of the family were and are (the living ones) carpenters and have turned the simplest pieces of wood for example, into rocking chairs, coffins (yes, you read that correctly, I said coffins) fences, tables chairs and everything you can think of under the sun!
In 2020, during the pandemic, I as a single mother, moved into my first apartment and that is where I discovered some of my gifts with my hands. I have assembled bookshelves, office chairs, dining tables, computers desks, pantries, cat treehouses houses, beds, credenzas, TV stands, even exercise equipment/machines like treadmills.
Those are just to name a few.
I am in no way a “professional” with a degree, BUT I do have a passion for starting off with a billion pieces and turning it into a solid, useful piece as it is meant to be.
And now with my very own daughter, (they say kids don’t do as you say, they do as you show) and she’s shown interest in helping along the way as she grows.
Assembling things over the years have taught me patience, independence, strength and self confidence.
One can really accomplish great things, if not only you put your mind into it, but also your heart!
Now that I’ve told you a bit about myself and journey, I can only hope that you take the chance at granting me to pleasure of assembling some of your long lasting, sturdy furniture that I’m pretty sure you just don’t have the time to assemble, and probably don’t want to pay just as much as you paid for the actual product for a professional to assemble.
I will give you a great deal and you’ll also be building my portfolio so that maybe who knows.. I will one day own my own business in this field. But for now, it is my passion and something that I look forward to doing.
I do have my own tools as far as a drill, bits, and some nails and hammer as well as measuring tape. But if it’s something that requires assembly, it usually comes with its own tools. But just in case, I do travel with my tools.
