When I was 16 I helped build a barn from the ground up. At the age of 18 I built an addition 2 times the size of my family’s 1842 fisherman shack making it a large comfortable house to live in. I did landscaping and construction for different companies up until the age of 21 and started my own landscaping business at the age of 25. At the same time I began my work as a freelance web developer which took over a few years later as I took on clients like NBC and BET. In 2007 I began building a post and beam home from the ground up which I completed in time for the summer rental season of 2009. In 2010 I was offered a job at an ad tech company based out of NYC and have worked for them for the past 10 years. The last 5 of those years I worked as an Engineering Manager and People Lead in charge of different teams responsible for turning concepts into finished products and sticking to tight deadlines. While working that challenging role I purchased, lived in and fixed up three different homes. My true passion is working with my hands and I’ve always been called a handy man. Attention to detail and focusing on quality are a must in my book. Every job, small or large, should receive the same level of attention. I’ve never said no to a job and have never left a customer unhappy. If you’re unhappy then I am too and who wants to be unhappy.
