I travel between my primary residence outside DANVILLE, VA and my vacation spot in the VA Beach, VA/Hampton Roads area. I try to get to know each and every customer and NEVER take a cookie cutter approach. Each assignment is taken on individually and customized to the best of my ability based on the extent of the information I have about the customers vision of the end result and I strive to ensure that the actual end result meets or exceeds that vision.
I have 30+ years clerical / office/ administrative experience, which comes in most handy in office / document organization, among other things. That's what my career has been focused in, although I've always had a knack for cleaning and organizing, especially the kind of larger jobs that most people procrastinate to keep from doing. There's something about the feeling I get when I first lay eyes on a project and in my mind's eye I get a picture of what I can make it look like and my mind just revs up and the wheels go to turning and they don't stop until the job is complete. And I've done quite a few projects where I had to remove can"junk". I don't ever pressure anyone to get rid of ANYTHING. But I have had some who have told me up front if there was anything they were getting rid of that I needed or could use, to consider it mine. And I've ended up with some really cool things that way! But the most valuable and enjoyable part of doing this, for me anyway, is the people I've met and the stories, history and information I've been gifted along the way. I've actually been doing this for many many years but not as an actual career, just as a favor here or way to beat boredom there. Had many offer me money when I was done, but I don't remember ever accepting money after the fact. Only if I was being paid already to just clean or remove junk and I'd just outdone myself and they were so pleased they threw in some extra, but rarely even then. I felt and sometimes still feel guilty taking money for something I enjoy doing so much. However, there's a growing need for this type of service, so why not make money doing something you really enjoy?
