My EXPERIENCE as a high school teacher and test prep course instructor sets me apart from some tutors who may know their subject matter but have a difficult time getting their students to understand it. Each time I work a problem with a student, my goal is not just to make him or her "get through it," but to help that student reach proficiency in that topic so that he or she will be able to work those types of problems independently.

My commitment to EXCELLENCE means that I recognize and cater to the unique learning styles of each of my students. I used to work for a large test prep company that took a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach. While this method may be convenient for the instructor, it does not produce the results that I want for my students.

I love the "Aha!" moments that happen when I help students understand concepts that they thought they would never master.

I love hearing back from parents who are thrilled about the new options they have because of the increase in their son or daughter's ACT or SAT score.

I love the look of relief on students' faces when they realize, "I CAN do this!"

While I cherish the years I spent as a classroom teacher and test prep instructor for a large company, I relish the fact that I can focus on each of my students' unique strengths and weaknesses to maximize their success without being hindered by unnecessary administrative duties or programs mandated by the central office or corporate headquarters. In other words, I am free to focus all of my energy on my students' success, and nothing else!
