About

My tutoring business developed from the ground up, with parents of students from class asking if I could tutor their other children. After a few years, enough people were asking for tutoring that I decided to pursue it as my full time job. I enjoy math and love to help people succeed with it. Here’s some info about me:

I’m a licensed 5-12 math teacher in Minnesota.

I have nearly 10 years of classroom teaching experience, and about 5 years of experience as a private tutor.

I’m IB HL and SL certified. I have 5 years of experience teaching IB SL 1, IB HL 1, and IB HL 2.

I’ve taught courses ranging from 8th grade math through Calculus 2.

I graduated from St Olaf College and am currently pursuing my Masters in Math. I am almost finished with a Master's in Math from the University of North Alabama.

I have a 2-year-old daughter (almost 3) and a 3-month-old daughter, and I stay home during the day to care for them.

(I don’t have many Thumbtack reviews because most of my tutoring commitments come through word of mouth, and Thumbtack limits the number of reviews that come from outside of the app to 10.)
