Hello everyone and welcome to my page! My name is Dej and I am a licensed Elementary and Special Education Teacher. I have my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and my Masters in Special Education. Teaching is my passion and my experience includes 15+ years working in general and special education, with English Language Learners. In June 2020, I was awarded Teacher of the Year due to my resilience and ability to create uniquely tailored online lessons that kept students engaged throughout the pandemic.

My mission is to ensure that every child succeeds and feels proud of their academic, social and emotional accomplishments. I am highly effective at establishing rapport with students and engaging them with specific and individualized lessons. I can help your child with homework assignments and projects in addition to teaching them the importance of independent thinking and goal setting. As an educator I take pride in building students confidence and self-esteem which ultimately develops their love of learning. Growth, smiles and confidence are guaranteed working with Ms. Dej.
