Hello! My name is Marissa Coda and I have been providing personal chef services to clients in Northern New Jersey & New York City since 2012. Trained at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts in Manhattan, I specialize in creating custom menus to satisfy all of my clients’ needs, with special attention to personal preferences, clients’ favorite restaurants and meals, and dietary restrictions. I love the creativity of menu planning made exclusively for the client. I work with whole, local, organic, and unprocessed foods, and believe that no person should have to sacrifice deliciousness and indulgence to treat their body well—my food is nourishing and comforting, and prepared with the highest quality ingredients. I have been working with food for 22 years. Past experience includes Serendipity Catering (Ithaca, NY), Mrs. Erb’s Good Food (Denville, NJ), Dinosaur BBQ (Newark, NJ), 90 Acres Culinary Center (Peapack & Gladstone, NJ), and most recently served as the head chef at Beacon Natural in the Hudson Valley, before branching out on my own as a full-time personal chef and owner of Catering by Marissa LLC. With the experience of working as a professional personal chef comes the ability to serve up cuisine from around the globe-all the client has to do is make a request and I will cook it for them. For the past seven years, I have expanded my repertoire into catering multiple-coursed plated dinner parties created with attention to detail and suited especially to the host’s preferences and tastes.
