I have loved decorating since I was 10, collecting unicorns and have always been good at organizing, as dishes was my chore and I would always strive to get the best placement, with the most dishes…I may have had a little OCD in there, as well.
I always like for everything to be in its place and, yes, I even straighten the crooked pictures, in public places. I’ve also moved so many times, I can’t count on all my fingers and toes, yet all in the Memphis and Desoto County areas. In 2011, my late Aunt Donna asked me to restyle her living room, as she liked how I decorated my own, but she didn’t really know how to decorate. Well, I moved all the small pieces and table and shelves, around and had her husband move the large pieces. I went back a week later and the house was night and day, walking in. It was now light and airy and just felt good. She was so excited she wanted me to come back and do more rooms and recommended I do this for other people, in their own homes. I tried to do this over the years, but it took me a while to find my niche’, which is to declutter, organize & decorate it, after! I realized these things, along with my experiences of what I’ve done at home, with my growing, now adult daughter & working in the business & corporate worlds, along with the service industry, all brought me to creating Pretty Things Interiors.
I have a passion for helping people and I am excited to be able to do both, every day! I love bringing peace into lives and calming the chaos, in their homes. After all, your space really is important!
