95% of personal trainers in the United States are not properly trained or certified. With no governing body for licensing, personal trainers can literally get certifications in hours or none at all. Remember, personal trainers are a lot like cars, some classics but plenty of clunkers. Research before you invest in someone. You can get severely injured through improperly trained and certified trainers. Don't let price fool you too. You get what you pay for.
