Hello everyone, my name is Nathan Engels and I am the owner of Wellness League, a small and private one-on-one studio dedicated to helping adults reach their maximum functional potential. I have a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and a master's degree in Aging Studies/Public Health Sciences from Wichita State University. I am also a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, and Health Coach all from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) accreditation. I have been working with adults of all ages for 8 years, and I consider myself more of a Wellness and Performance coach than a trainer. At Wellness League, our focus is dedicated to helping clients thrive both inside and outside the studio. Our coaching roster consists of a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Kinesiologist, a Geriatric Exercise Specialist, several Exercise Scientists, and two Personal Trainers. We do lot's of community work, and I speak at several events throughout the year including the Positive Aging Conference at Wichita State, and the Sedgwick County Aging Summit. Your results are our daily focus, as I believe one's fitness journey must be practiced daily, with the understanding that it is a skill that takes time to master.
REMEMBER:::fitness is a marathon, not a sprint! We keep track of our clients' nutritional progress through a portable phone app in order to make sure they are all achieving their goals and staying on point. Our mission is simple, provide HOPE and INSPIRE. We voice loudly that anyone and everyone can achieve fantastic results with a little bit of hard work and dedication. Our services are unique because we personally customize every program and every step for each client. This assures that ALL of our clients get results. I love the personal bond that is formed between the coach and the client. Our clients are like family, and I care just as much for their results as I do my own. I love enhancing the lives of the people I work with. After some initial observations, we create workout programs that are specified to your current fitness level. They are challenging, but addictive. And regardless of your fitness level, everyone is safe while training at Wellness League. We work with high risk populations, as long as individuals have a medical release. We never push anyone harder than they are currently ready, but with that being said, you will achieve levels of fitness that you never knew you could as the progression continues! That is the most rewarding aspect of coaching; watching our clients achieve their maximum potential. This happens regardless of their age or baseline fitness level.
