As I live by the name Bodied By Tahshii, I also live by my core values of health, wellness, and fitness. I am currently certified through
ACE, and Certified and specialize in corrective exercise, functional training, and pre /postnatal.
My niche focuses on functionality and how the human body is supposed to move. I am also a Board certified occupational Therapy Assistant, and future Registered Occupational Therapist. Dr. of OT, and I plan to merge the two professions. I want to shift my patients into becoming my clients.
As a person who used to be over 200lbs, I learned in my early to mid-thirties that helping someone how to lose body fat and keep it off, is not enough when the client has chronic joint problems or acute pain and or dysfunctional movement patterns that will lead to that client into permanent injury. Speaking from experience, I also know this to be true.
I noticed when I became a fitness professional, that I focused so much on form and also wonder why and how my clients moved the way they did, that was clear that he/she had a dysfunctional movement pattern. Fat loss and looking physically fit is great and all and you may feel great, but how do your joints and stability musculature feel? Does your entire core feel secure? Some people would say they feel fine, but what is normal to you, may not be normal and what I mean by that is, is it a correct functional pattern you move through? If you don't know, then I suggest you train with me to find out.
