I was always an active kid but I only really started getting serious about getting fit after I graduated from high school. I went from barely being able to run a mile to completing three marathons with a personal best of 3:16. My love of running led me down a path of becoming a certified personal trainer and obtaining my bachelors degree in nutrition.
I've made many mistakes during my own fitness journey including a few stress fractures and over-use injuries. My mistakes led to a discovery that fitness is not a one size fits all solution. Our bodies are as unique as our personalities & each of us requires workout plans that fit our unique physical makeup.
I have a holistic approach to being fit & healthy. I take the OPT approach to training which emphasizes all areas including flexibility, strength & endurance. I also believe that eating wholesome foods that come from the earth promote muscle growth & physical endurance. Health can be obtained by balance not extreme diets or workouts. This balanced approach will not only help you look better but you will feel so much better too. It's easier to stick with a plan that is fun, realistic & prevents burn-out. You'll keep the weight off & feel great for the rest of your life.
