My name is Nate Matos, I am the owner of Alternate Performance. My training philosophy is about optimizing exercise and the benefits of exercise. Spending time in the gym should equate to more than just sweat. It should make your life easier. My style of training is aimed at giving you strength and the ability to do the things you like doing and things you have to do on a bay to day basis, better than you have before. From carrying the groceries in from your car, to finally having the ability to go on that long bike ride or play a few rounds of tennis with confidence. Alternate Performance is set for you to find the alternate side of your life through exercise.
As a former collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach, I believe there are a lot of principles in training athletes that apply to training in general. More than just strength, learning how to move your body in various ways is vital to improving your health and fitness. Strenuous exercise is imperative to reaching your full potential. And lastly, being stronger is never a weakness.
