Hi...if you haven't had a chance to check out the above links, please do. Young Quinn had no previous lessons in music and after just a couple of months, he was reading and playing standard level music! This is what you are seeing in the YouTube video linked to...you can also see this lad playing at his first recital on a 16 foot Steinway Concert Grand piano at Kent State. He is not an exceptional student...most of my students can do this and reach a level of playing after only one year where they can play anything put in front of them. Keeping their enthusiasm alive is the key to effective teaching, and I have worked on perfecting my style of teaching (my method) for 40 years now. As the old saying goes: "You get what you are paying for." I have taken on many students who had previous experience with other instructors that even after 5-7 years couldn't play at the level of my first year students. I teach songs that they enjoy, and that makes them WANT to sit down and play (practice). If this interests you, please call for more details.
