I am a classical pianist and composer as well as a piano teacher with over 25 years of experience. I hold a degree in music theory and composition from St. Olaf College, as well as a masters degree in psychology from Lesley University. My background has given me unique resources to help students achieve their musical potential. I teach all levels, from beginner to advanced. I teach both students who are seeking to enrich their lives with music and those who wish to make music their life. In addition to teaching the classical repertoire, I am currently developing a series of pedagogical resources for students, including original compositions and etudes.
Two things, especially, bring me great joy: 1. that moment when a student discovers he or she can do something which he or she believed would be impossible. 2. when a student discovers that he or she can use the piano to express his or her deepest truths.
